All notes are: (D3), A3, Bb3, D4, E4, F4, A4, C5 and D5. The D3 to D5 provides two octaves of improvisation around the pentatonic minor but with a slight adjustment. Unlike the Akebono (8 Note) and Integral (7 Note) Handpans, the Celtic scale Handpan replaces the conventional 4th note of the pentatonic scale (G) with the 6th note (Bb) instead. The Bb3 is most effective because it creates a semitone difference with the A3, creating the urge to resolve which induces tension. This tuning particularly expands the harmonic creativity and expressiveness for the player despite it being only a slight adjustment.
All Generation 1 Handpans come with their own Soft Case (with shoulder straps), and protective cover (for added protection during travel but which can also be used as an additional percussive instrument). If you're interested in getting a Hard Case for your Handpan, see what we have available in the Shop here. All handpans come with a Gu hole (for resonance) and a nitrided coating for anti-rust.
